Loading Factory Preload Programs on the DW-6000

I have loaded these factory preload programs using all three file types
and they do work so if you have any problems please re-read the instructions
and check your setup carefully. Enjoy.

You need to work with three switches on the back of your machine. Please check
the location and position (ENABLE or DISABLE) of these switches before proceeding.
They are WRITE ENABLE, TAPE ENABLE and LOW HIGH (under the FROM TAPE
label).

1. If using the Sysex (.syx) or SoundDiver (.LIB) files.

a)On the DW-6000, make sure parameter 82 is set to 2 and that the channel number on
parameter 81 is set to match the settings of the software you are using.

b)Set the WRITE ENABLE switch to ENABLE.

c)Run your software and set up the connection with your DW-6000.

d)Open the file and select Load or Transmit or whatever your software
requires you to do to perform a load. During the load the PROGRAM NO. display
will count from 11 to 88. If that doesn't happen check all your connections and
settings and try again.

e)When finished set the WRITE ENABLE switch back to DISABLE. You're done!!

2. If using the WAV file.

a)Set the playback volume on your computer about mid level and on the DW-6000 set the LOW HIGH
switch to HIGH.

b)Connect a MONO mini jack cable to the FROM TAPE
socket on the DW-6000. Connect the other end to your computer.

c)Switch the TAPE ENABLE to ENABLE. "TA PE" should be displayed.

d)First you should verify the file. Press the VERIFY button. Then play the file on your computer.
If the VALUE display counts from 1 to 8 after which "Go od" is displayed then everything is set fine.
If nothing happens and the "Vr FY" never changes or if "E rr" is displayed then
press CANCEL and adjust the volume on your PC. Do this until you get a "Go od".

e)Once you have a "Go od" you can safely load the programs. First follow steps a) to c)
above to set everything up. Next set the WRITE ENABLE switch to ENABLE. Make sure
the volume setting on your PC is at the same level that gave you a "Go od" when you
verified the file. Press LOAD ("Lo Ad" should now be displayed) and then play the file
on your PC. The VALUE display should again count from 1 to 8 and then "Go od" should
be displayed. Next switch the WRITE ENABLE to DISABLE and the TAPE ENABLE to DISABLE.
Your DW-6000 is now back to its original settings. If you get an "E rr" then press CANCEL, adjust
the payback volume and keep trying.
